The doctors of the San Gabriel Valley Eye Associates make up the most established group of ophthalmologists in San Gabriel. Initially founded by Drs. Frank S. Schiff and Frank B. Thompson in 1968, Dr. Schiff has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at USC and Associate Professor at Loma Linda; and for 32 years prior to his retirement in 1999, Dr. Thompson was a world-renowned ophthalmologist and author of two well-received ophthalmic textbooks.
