Our Technology

The San Gabriel Valley Eye Associates are located in a state of the art eye care facility offering the most comprehensive and advanced treatment available. Exam rooms are equipped with LCD touch screens that allow for immediate viewing of test results and interactive patient education videos. We use a wide range of cutting edge glaucoma testing equipment such as Heidelberg retinal Tomography, Frequency Doubling Perimetry, and SITA Humphrey Visual Field Testing. Our team utilizes networked digital photography for immediate images of the retina and optic nerve; and we perform in-office retinal procedures with the Argon laser. We feel our modern practice and state of the art technology enhances the excellent care we provide to our patients.

Non-Mydriatic Retinal Photography

Requiring only a 4mm pupil diameter, this digital fundus camera uses the Canon EOS 10D preferred by professional photographers for unparalleled clarity of images. Once an image is captured, it can be viewed by the doctor and patient in any of the computer equipped exam lanes.

Heidelberg Retinal Tomography

Complimenting the information obtained by photography, this technology utilizes laser scanning of the nerve fiber layer to detect early glaucomatous damage.

Humphrey Visual Field Analyzer

The Gold Standard for following glaucomatous visual field loss. This computerized perimeter uses the advanced SITA software to detect early visual field loss as well as follow it for glaucoma-specific changes.

Humphrey FDT Visual Field Instrument

Our most recent addition! Frequency Doubling Technology (FDT) is able to detect visual field loss earlier then standard perimetry; and the FDT is the most patient friendly perimeter available. Supra-threshold analysis is obtained in 35 seconds and full-threshold testing results are available in 4 minutes.
